Alright gentlemen, it has to come to this. The party has been losing ground in the country’s political landscape. Not only it has lost trust and faith from the community it vowed to represent, it’s being marginalized by the Daggers as we speak.
The Daggers is sidelining its other incompetent pet party, and we don’t want to go there. Our only hope is the up- coming by- election; if we put on a good show the day before, and manage to garner sizeable swing votes, we could be salvageable.
The outcome of this EGM, as speculated by the media, is a no- win situation. Regardless of who stayed while the other left, it would further fragment the frail party. Due to your irreconcilable differences, the only viable option is to have both of you stepped down.
Think back all the work you have done so far. After all these years, your contribution to the country and the party, smeared by the last dirt of your political life. And all those unfinished jobs, what would become of the PKFZ scandal, the BN Coordinator? Your enemies would be dancing away the night. The daunting part comes after you stepped down: your once- supporters would turn their backs on you, some will even mock you. There’s practically no life, no comeback after this. Not even the opposition would risk taking you in, less you form a new party which probably won’t survive the next General Election.
Remember how ecstatic that day last year, thirteen- hundred representatives from every corner of the country voted to put the 2 most politically potent candidates on the top 2 posts, believing that the risk they are taking will worth the party’s rebirth? They have no doubt of your capabilities, they want to put you there to guide the party’s destiny, much like how the people of this country voted for a bipartisan. Can you let them down?
Big O, you are the lone ranger all the while, unfathomed but respected, your audacity is your trademark. Unlike your predecessor, Mr. Nice- Guy who got push around trying to impress everyone like a clown, you could do so much better than him and his nonchalant biography. The shit of PKFZ and KDSB was good, where the project overspent and failed miserably, it had sold more news in the mainstream media than any other scandals this year. If you get a cent for every copy which headline it made, you could be a million Ringgit richer. People love shits, they talked about it in coffee shops, blogged about it, made videos on You- Tube about it. Media cannot live without shits, and you, have given them a life. I would have signed you on for your biography on shits, PKFZ and what not.
And you, Sexy SL, you are the ultimate comeback kid, people love you for everything you do, they can’t have enough of you and want you back for more. You have personified the Healthy Citizen, and as Health Minister, your reputation preceded those before and after you. You are such a dominant character that the Head of Daggers assigned you the BN Coordinator. Not even Smiley V, Head of Pet Society, got that kind of assignment. If it wasn’t of your carelessness you would have made alpha ape in the party.
Now, there’s still hope for both of you. Thanks to the creative minds from South, the party could create the posts of senior mentors. Both will step down as President and VP, and appointed as SM of the party. SM can hold government minister post, so you can stay on to unearth the whole shit of PKFZ, as well as coordinating the BNs. The beauty of this is both of you would be mutually exclusive, you'd get no shit from each other from then on, and you may want to race each other to see who got more jobs done, and who is the scatophagous dimwit.
Do your jobs well, you could redeem yourself in the history of the country. Your supporters would stick around, they would get their fair shares, not to mention their rightful dignity. And as long as your son doesn’t screw up like LLS’s son did, he could well be the next rising star. When the time comes, you shall be appointed as directors of GLCs and draw an obscene salary. Happy ending, don’t you think?
I would go for LTL for Head. He’s young, well poised, clean history, he could go the distant.
All being said and done, the party has to make substantial progress, shows its component parties what it’s capable of. If the Daggers lose this party, they will tilt left even more and be even less secular, in their desperate struggle to stay in power. It would be a nightmare revisited.
Gentlemen, the moment of destiny is upon you. Go and surprise the world.

Along Came a Spider
Necessity is the mother of invention. I'm sure they didn't have stalkers in mind when internet was created. But as the Information Revolution unfolds, stalkers may be the one benefited the most from it.
Hard to swallow? The most searched subject in the internet is sex, followed by celebrities. Celebrities are meant to be stalked after, they offered themselves to be stalked. We can just call them stalkees, they make money for being stalked.
I still remembered, back in school, when I spotted a cute gal, I'd check out which class she's in, and hang around her usual hangouts. After 20 years, I've changed much. I sat at my terminal, punched in a few words, and, the object of my curiosity appeared. On Facebook, Twitter, Plurk, Friendster, mySpace, and more. Who needs a private investigator, when he's got the internet? ISP stands for 'Investigation in Secret Provider'.
The internet is good for business opportunities, information sharing, socialization, entertainment and more. The bottom line is, the internet is the answer of human's deepest desire to knowledge, to quench their insatiable curiosity. Some of the most successful internet companies thrive by acknowledging this trend.
Google, the most lucrative search engine of all, has the best spider to sniff out websites and organise them in the most stalker- friendly way. You- tube tells you which video you should stalk with their star- rating system and numbers of views. Facebook takes the cake with 'Tagging', the ultimate stalking feature not available on mySpace or Friendster until of late. Twitter and Plurk, both designed with stalkers specifically in mind, and how they have exploded.
I think many people want to be stalked, they long for other's attention, it makes them feel important, like celebrities. They think being stalked is a compliment, being 'Followed on Twitter' is a gauge of their popularity. Facebook has done good with the 'Hide' function, we could use less status update here.
Spoiler for the movie 'Gamer', don't read this if you want to watch the movie.
Some of them like to stalk, and some of them like to be stalked upon. It makes perfect sense that some of them are control freaks, and some of them are controlled freaks. The Nanex can controll people, thus controlling their votes, their purchasing habits, and whoever controls Nanex, will be God.
Today, people consult the internet on which is the best bargain of a digital camera, which movies have good ratings, which restaurants have goor dining reviews, who they should date. They even make some major decisions as to which house to buy, which career path to pursue, which country they should migrate to. There's nothing you couldn't consult over the net.
In future, people could be too lazy to make small every-day decisions, decisions like what to wear today, where to eat for lunch, where to park, etc. They let the internet make harmless little suggestions for them, while they focus on the 'more important things in life'. Soon people would be too depend on the internet, they lost thier own autonomy. Who ever controls internet (Larry Page and Sergey Brin, perhaps) controls people. No need for Nanex.
Oh, and the stalker. The stalker invented a social networking site, enable a portable video camera to hang around it's user, operates 24/7. Think 'The Truman Show', only this time, it's you and your friends and many more strangers, are on it. Good luck stalking.
And the spider lurks at one corner, looking at it's web, waiting for it's prey to come around (or update it's status). The spider attacks, or rather, just gawking at it's computer screen. Harmless, or not? Have you RSS this blog?

GHOST- The series
In the not so distant future, a secret government service (in the US, never in Msia) was formed to monitor ghost activities. The independent team consist of the following members:
1. Holo, team leader, with ancestral ability as a ghost whisperer. Last descendant of an ancient Shaman tribe, he advocates peace between human and ghost. (Future season reveals he's capable of severing his spirit from his body into a ghost state, and back)
2. Beam, newly recruited to the team for his new- found ability to pinpoint a ghost's weakness. Strong believer of science, despise his own ability but struggling to cope. (Future season, he finds out how he gained his ability, when he lost it.)
3. Stellar, her bio field has a ghost- repellent effect, meaning she can never be possessed. Apart from her martial art background, she's a historian specialised in cross- cultural ghost studies. (Future season her ability develops that she can discharge her bio field to cause harm in ghost.)
4. Sage, has an immeasurable IQ and photographic memory, he's the walking information database. Provides backup and comedy to the team, he might be the key to the mysterious 'The Source'. (Future season he became the 'Messenger' from 'The Source')
The team was put together to investigate paranormal activities threatening humans society, they also need to protect some ghost from other ghost, protect ghost from some humans/ wizards that could manipulate ghost, and as usual, protect the weak from the strong.
The government has been hiding their research on ghost from public eyes, especially from religious groups. Field teams are established to collect more data on the unknown, with hope that one day, ghost can drive the scientific breakthrough of mankind.
Along the way there are others parties coming into the fray:
1. Wizards and witches are generally sole proprietors who utilise age- old spells and charms to manipulate certain ghost for their own gain, or to achieve certain task. Fearing the government would complicate their livelihood, they sometimes sabotage the team.
2. Civilian are generally susceptible to ghost's influence, but there are some who posses certain ability, though they could be unable to control it. The special ones would be placed under radar for studies.
3. Ghost is mostly independent, but some old- timers have come together with sinister intentions. Like people, there are good ghost and evil ones. Abilities of ghosts vary from one another, and presumably, all ghosts have a weakness.
4. NGOs also involve in their own studies on ghost, some are terrorists.
5. Religious groups have their own perspectives on ghost; they are not actively participating in the ghost hunt unless called upon by their followers.
It would be like ‘Charmed’, ‘Buffy’, or ‘Angel’, except that here, science is the mainstream in explaining what is ghost. Also a lot of discussions on life, death, afterlife, much like ‘6 Feet Under’.
Each episode would start with a fact line, such as:
1. Man becomes ghost when he dies.
2. Ghost may or may not realise he is dead.
3. Ghost retains all his memories and is at the emotional state when he dies.
4. Ghost can feel and have emotions, though he doesn’t have the necessary neural systems.
5. Ghost exists in a form of energy field, very similar to humans’ bio field. Etc.
And each episode would end with a quote, such as:
1. If you know not living, you know not death. – Confucius.
2. While I thought I was learning how to live, I have been learning how to die. – Leonardo Da Vinci. Etc.
Season 1 would be basically introduction to the fictitious world order, characters and their relationships. The team’s standard issue equipment enables interaction with ghost. How they investigate and decide on the best action in the field. Friends and enemies met. At the end of season 1, a cult protagonist instigated a mass suicide, and broadcasting live on You-tube. The team were chasing around the clock to stop this, but failed. The world watched in horror as thousands of people died, and became ghosts.
Season 2 would depict how the society copes with the knowledge of ghost’s existence. Some people treasure life even more, some can’t wait to join the underworld. Religious bodies could not but concur that ghost is true. The world is in chaos, each faction wants to have a say in revamping the world’s order. The team stayed focus on protecting the weak, them be human or ghost. Season end, a mad scientist created a device to extract spirit from human, effectively killing him. How would they stop him?
Season 3 The spirit extraction device can be reversed to reincarnate life, but there are certain limitations. How would people like to experience death, when they know they could come back to life? Can people really be immortal? The device has become the prize, every imaginable human and even ghosts wish to have it. Season end, they make a hard decision to destroy the device, yet somehow, the device has developed a consciousness, declaring itself a life of its own.
Season 4 Some ghost have special ability, like telekinesis, mind reading, human possession, etc. When a handful of people died and came back to life, they too, have gained some super power. The catch is, you may or may not have any super power, and when you die, you may not come back to life. Would people risk it, to have a super power? Can they handle their power? Another endless debate of what people want to do with their lives, and whether or not live is worth living. Season end, scientists have determine that ghost, is actually the theoretic ‘Dark Matter’.

Secret
Call me secretive, but there are certain things I wish not published in my Facebook. The rest of me, if you'r interested, is in my note: 25 things about me. Anyway it was written on April 1st (in Facebook, anyway), its credibility questionable.
I'd rather hide my birthday, to safe me the embarassment of none well- wisher. Either I was unpopular, or was just being overly self- conscious. Or, it reminds me how my mom went through pains I could never endure to bring me to this world, and I am forever in debt with her. Now why would I enjoy celebrating this day?
Truth be told, I think it's a special day shared only between the 2 of us. OK, make it 3 including my dad. It commemorates the beginning of a very intimate relationship, a life's gift, commencement of a lifetime adventure with endless challenges and surprises.
As luck would have it, one day, the girl I'm dating would ask why haven't I publish my birthday, I would answer in the most romantic way possible, 'The day I was born, is the day I met you'. That'll surely melt her heart, score another few hundreds points in her love-o-meter. This, is the real reason why I'm hiding my birthday, for occassion like this!
Say, I'm writing 'The next 25 things about me'. To be published at the next April 1st.
26. My mom had me rather easily, she was in labour for only bout an hour. Proof is, all my sisters are natal- friendly (go figure, it figures), no wonder 'Lee' is the most common surname around.

Ghost
Through out ages, beyond cultures and traverse spaces, ghost, is one consistency not to be ignored. Religions and science attempted to obviate the issue, claiming it a hoax, but till today, no one can clearly proof the existence nor inexistence of ghost.
To many, ghost is just a theory, with many hypothesis but never proven. Like emotions and feelings, ghost is undetectable, unmeasurable, therefore unable to be quantified. (phrase made famous by Scarlet, of G.I. Joe)
When ghost comes into picture, one could think of death, agony, terror, despair, anger, depression, any feelings negative in nature that one could name. It is safe to say, that ghost, is the manifestation of human's dark side, the undesired yet inseparable component everyone try to hide away in the shadow.
One could argue that darkness is simply the lack of light, but it is debatable to imply that ghost is the lack of life. In many documented paranormal encounters, ghost is capable of interaction, judgement and action, it is anything but lifeless.
Despite bleeding- edge technology advancement by humans, there hasn't been any device created to detect ghost, leave alone researching it. This is the area where fear triumphed curiosity, more so that there's no forseeable advantage in studying ghost. For one, ghost is not needed to make a good horror movie.
Speaking of technology, some evidence of ghost was documented through the lenses of cameras and video recorders. The only flaw to these quasi- evidents is, the process cannot be duplicated, thus violating the fundamental law of modern science. One seemingly accurate device for ghost detection, is human itself. The ability to see ghost is often hereditary, one could postulate that in near future, geneticist may be able to isolate certain genes governing ghost- sensitive ocular nerve cells.
Human has undergone many revolutions, we have seen the digital revolution and information revolution developed before our very eyes. It is only prudent to surmise the next impending revolution, could be that of a lurid one.
During a thunderstorm, in the 18th century, Benjamin Franklin tied a copper key to a kite, with the intention of attracting lightning. In his era, lightning bolt was a sign of heaven's wrath, a force of nature capable of incinerating lives, properties and everything. His work led to the invention of lightning rod, and eventually, electricity which enabled many revolutions thereafter. Now we have yet another Pandora's Box, sitting here for so long, waiting to be opened.
